Dahra Jackson Williams, Ph.D.

Dr. Williams is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides therapy and evaluation services to children, adolescents, and families.

Dr. Williams conducts comprehensive psychodiagnostic and psychoeducational evaluations of children and adolescents, assessing a variety of learning differences, ADHD, or assessing the impact of several psychological, behavioral, emotional, and/or medical conditions on the child/adolescent. She has a specialty in emotional and behavioral difficulties frequently faced by school age, pre-teen and teenagers. Oftentimes, concerns regarding temper tantrums, oppositional behavior, noncompliance and other issues such as self-esteem difficulties, depression and anxiety leave kids and their families worried, frustrated and confused. Dr. Williams has expertise in working with these children/adolescents and their families. She also has an interest in working with children who have chronic or acute medical concerns (including but not limited to diabetes, asthma, cystic fibrosis, and sickle cell disease).

Dr. Williams received her B.A. from Williams College and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Child/Family Clinical Psychology at the University of Miami. She completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the AI DuPont Hospital for Children. Dr. Williams is also a faculty member in the Department of Psychology at the La Salle University in Philadelphia. There she teaches several courses related to child and adolescent development. She also trains and supervises graduate students in the practice of child/family psychology.
